BWCX. Here is an original photo that I took at the Berwind-White Railroad Car Shops in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, during the Summer of 1963. Shown here is the steam locomotive called "Nancy." Bob Wingard (the locomotive engineer) is shifting one of the last USRA 55-ton hopper cars owned by the Berwind-White Coal Mining Company. The aluminum building on the left is the Paint Shop, the building in the middle is the Car Shop, and the building on the right is the original Machine Shop. |
