Description:
Seaboard#Air Line Railroad E7 3041 at Miami, Florida on an unknown day in November 1964, Kodachrome by Keith E. Ardinger, Chuck Zeiler collection. As best I can tell, this unit and 3040 were fitted with aluminum side panels in an experiment to reduce paint costs. I do not know if this was an original EMD application or a railroad retrofit.
