Patrick Petroff General KCS and Transportacion Maritima Mexicana (TMM) both acquired Northwest Railroad in 1997 which in turn created TFM. So I think it was a merger to give KCS access to Mexico and vice-versa for TMM and the United States. 2/15/2005 11:51:01 PM
