Dziobko. Here is is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by John Dziobko, Jr., that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 10 September 1951. Visible at the left is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5777, a BP-20 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in September of 1948, rated at 2,000 horsepower, and retired in May of 1965 after just 17 years of revenue service. The smoke in the left background is from a steam locomotive working in the Altoona Yards. |
