This loco started out as CM&StP #8138 in November of 1912. Built by Alco-Brooks as a heavyweight Mikado, it was renumbered in 1938 to CMStP&P 654. Retirement came nine months after this dead line photo was taken - in December of 1954. Specs - class L2-r3" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine weight of 277,800 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. An unknown photographer took this photo. |
