Only one side of Amtrak FP7A no. 492 needed the gold paint and cladding for its short-lived role on TV. The fireman's side behind the cab was plain-old Amtrak. This loco starred in the Vincent Price vehicle (heh) "Time Express", which was cancelled in 1979 after only 4 episodes had aired. You can find out more about this particular engine in this TrainOrders thread (more threads are linked in this one too): https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?4,1291718 . You can find out more about the show itself here: https://www.cancelledscifi.com/2021/05/01/sci-fi-tv-obscurities-time-express-1979/ . Steve Gartner photo, from the Ralph L.
