CN 2-8-0 #2568 - Canadian National         
An unknown photographer was able to snap a picture of this work train as it passed through Oakville, Ontario, Canada, headed up by Canadian National 2-8-0 #2568. Built by ALCo-Schenectady in April of 1907, the loco started out as GTR #708 (serial #42048) but was renumbered CN 2568 in 1923 when it was merged into the CN roster. The loco was built as a compound Consolidation but later simplified. It served nearly 53 years before being scrapped in February of 1960. Original specs - 63" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 22.5x32" high pressure cylinders, 35x32" low pressure cylinders, engine weight of 211,200 lb, tractive effort of 32,478 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo.
