iLocations. Here is the third of three images by an unidentified photographer that were taken near Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, on 8 April 1947. Shown here is a portion of the Pennsylvania Railroad's refrigerator car icing facility. Note that it has two decks: the lower deck is for blocks of ice inserted one at a time, the upper deck is for crushed ice poured into the hatches via fixed wooden chutes.
