Portraits 9. Here is a steam locomotive portrait of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5253, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during July of 1917 and retired in July of 1948 after 31 years of faithful service. Photo Annotation: "Pennsylvania Congressional Limited backing into terminal with loco #5253. 1926." Note the circular number plate on the smokebox, and that the open end of the observation car is right next to the tender. The photographer's name and the date are not recorded. (#12 of 14)
