Portraits 7. Here is a steam locomotive portrait of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1823, an H-6 (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during 1899 and retired in May of 1926 after 27 years of faithful service. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. Many thanks to Mr. Robert Hess for identifying this locomotive correctly. (#5 of 20) |
