| This SW1500 switcher started out as SP # 2652 built by EMD in July of 1972. In July of 1988 it was sold to the Wilson Rwy who immediately resold it to the Wisconsin Central in August of 1988. After that point, the history gets a little fuzzy. Not sure how this photo of it sitting in Connersville, IN fits into the lineage. It supposedly was sold to Cleveland Works Rail Operations as their CWRO #1556 and there until at least 2014. Another photo shows this loco in CN colors with the WC under the window back on the WC roster in 2019 at Stevens Point, WI. This photo pictured here was taken by an unknown photographer. |
