PRR 436, B-8A, 1937         
Here is a photo by Mr. F.R. Kern that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 16 May 1937. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #436, a B-8A (0-6-0T) switcher built in Juniata as a B-8 during August of 1912, rebuilt as a B-8A (tank) in June of 1924, and retired in October of 1956 after 44 years of service. Photo taken during the "Altoona Shops Inspection Trip" of 16 May 1937; partially visible at the right is the 130P70 tender associated with K-5 "Pacific" #5698. Harold K. Vollrath Collection.
