PRR 8817, AS-16M, c. 1952         
Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer of (L to R) Pennsylvania Railroad engines #8817 and #8820. Both are AS-16M's built by the American Locomotive Company and rated at 1,600 horsepower each. #8817 was built in November of 1951 and retired in October of 1967, while #8820 was built in November of 1951 but went on to serve with the Penn Central. The exact date and the location are not recorded. Roy Healey Collection; #3 of 16.
