NS and SMS crews met for interchange 2 or 3 times a week during the day. There's no siding, so (apparently) it was easier for both to do a "live" interchange and get cars out of the way. NS typically arrived with 2 big GEs, which dwarfed SMS' little Baldwin. A rather incongruous sight watching the two shuffle cars around. |
