NKP 759  Contributor's Pick!       
Stored 1/58 at Conneaut and subsequently shopped there. Stored after shopping and sold to F. Nelson Blount (Monadnock, Steamtown & Northern) on 10/16/62.In May 1958, the NKP thoroughly overhauled 759 in the company's great shop at Conneaut, OH. It was the last steam locomotive to be overhauled by NKP. F. Nelson Blount added 759 to his collection at Steamtown USA in Bellows Falls, VT in October, 1962. The 759 was steamed up on 8/17/68 and made several trial runs. On May 3, 1969, painted black with yellow lettering and white driver tires, 759 led Ross Rowland's "Golden Spike Limited" from Grand Central Station to Promontory, Utah for the "Driving of the Golden Spike Ceremony".
