In 1989, Amtrak restored passenger service along the old PRSL route to Atlantic City, NJ to provide travelers from around the country with direct access to the gambling mecca. The service only lasted for a few years before Amtrak pulled out in 1992 due to loss of business. However it has since come back as a partner along with NJ Transit and three casinos in the new ACES service between New York and Atlantic City. NJ Transit still provides passenger service in addition to ACES between AC and 30th Street station in Philadelphia. |
