| MDRY 8250, still wearing the paint of the Midland Railway, trails on the end of this passenger run on Rock Islands new subsidary Ottawa Northern. The train consisted of Midland Railways former primary power, MDRY GP20 4079 (formerly SP 7229) in the lead and MDRY GP10 8250 (formerly IC 9250) trailing on the rear. The Santa Rocket slowly made its debut run on the former-ATSF rail line between Baldwin City, Kansas, and Norwood, Kansas and back during the first snow storm of the cold season. |
