BA2 waiting to depart
MEC always used the old main line into Bucksport to tuck cars onto as they made up the train. Pan Am still does. Behind the camera the track now ends in about 200 feet away, years ago it went another 1/4 mile or so past the Bucksport station with a run around. In the 50s the morning train would run a baggage car with LCL freight down to the station then head back north (time table west) past St.Regis Paper to the turn table to turn the diesel locomotives. They did this all thru the 50s. /DL
