Amtrak 3202 LAUREL STREAM was a Plan 9505 6-double-bedroom/buffet/lounge built by Budd in April 1949 for the New York Central, one of eleven such cars in Lot. No. 9663. First numbered NYC 10620-10630, ten of them went into the Penn Central 4411-4423 series, and nine of these became AMTK 3200-3208. LAUREL STREAM was NYC 10628 and PC 4+13. After retirement by Amtrak in 1982 the car went into private ownership as the 800180 and is now CITY OF ANGELS. (approximate month) |
