PRR #8956 is a BS-24M built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in September of 1951, rated at 2,400 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Baldwins in Action ~ On North-Eastern Railroads" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (892-50). |
