Long before an F7A carried the B&O number 4622, this beefy 2-8-2 Mikado had the distinct honor. B&O #4622 was built by Baldwin in March of 1923 and proved to be a very veratile locomotive. It was able to serve for nearly 32 years before being retired in November of 1956 at the Mt Clare yard in Baltimore, MD.
