Description:
Union Pacific Railroad U25B 640 at Council Bluffs, Iowa on an unknown day in February 1963, Kodachrome by Dick Rumbolz, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 640 was built in September 1962 (c/n 34538) and retired by the UP in September 1972. The following is the footnote from utahrails.net: UP 640 was rebuilt to Oregon, California & Eastern 7603 (MK model TE53-1-4E), completed on 1 July 1976; retired in 1991; sold in 1992 to Econo-Rail (ECRX) 7603; to Longhorn Railway (LHRR) 7603 during 1997; in service on Port of Beaumont (Texas).
