Album Info:TRC operates freight service from Trona to a connection with UP at Searles, Ca. a distance of 30.5 miles. Traffic includes sulfuric acid, soda ash, salt cake, coal, minerals & military equipment. The company was incorporated March 12th 1913 & opened on September 6th 1914. Passenger service ended in 1937. North American Chemical acquired this line from Kerr McGee Chemical Corporation in 1990. IMC Global acquired North American Chemical in 1998. In 2000, IMC Global sold off this segment of the business to Searles Valley Minerals.
