ICE 50729
Title:  ICE 50729
Description:  ICE 50729, former Soo Line, headed north at Davenport, IA, March 4, 2011. Modeling this car's weathering would be a challenge! This car's ACI label is still in place. You'll see it on the right end of the car, close to where the sloped edge meets the straight section. This car also has full lenght walkways. Notice the sheet metal work or "fluting" (?) above the words SOO LINE. Details or info, anyone?

LBR 6710
Title:  LBR 6710
Description:  This car is lettered for Delaware and Lackawanna, with reporting marks (initials) LBR for Lowville and Beaver River, a shortline based in New York state. Car is headed north, going through Davenport, IA, on March 4, 2011. I don't think the custom artwork came from the railroad's own paint shop!

Untitled CP Rail cylindrical hopper
Title:  Untitled CP Rail cylindrical hopper
Description:  Headed north through Davenport, IA, 3-4-2011. The weathering and faded paint made it difficult to guess the car number. The last digits are 4533, I think, if that helps with ID'ing this car. Another question: why is this car painted black? Was this a color code for various cargos?

BNSF 2903-cropped view
Title:  BNSF 2903-cropped view
Description:  Cropped view of the previous image to get a better/closer look. As of 3-18-2011 this unit is still in green and white paint, with the white stripes on the nose and white paint on the front of the cab. Is the sand filler hatch on the nose open? And the crew are wearing orange reflective vests but I saw those as I was heading to find a parking place!
