Theres a wonderful variety of styles in working the controller among these men and women; this guy would practically start in notch 2, be in serial running after about a second, pause an instant, then apparently just get bored and swing it right around into parallel running! Its actually imressive how these 85 year-old cars can go when they open up. |

Definitely the most accessible shops Ive ever seen. Just take the #12 St Charles car most of the way out from downtown and pull the cord when you see a single track veer off down the center of a small side street, then walk a block and a half. Its right in the middle of a relatively quiet neighborhood. Never saw a blue streetcar in New Orleans before, looks like a Riverfront car. Color-coded lines in the future? |
