Description:  After finishing up my chores in Fort Erie, I was just in time to catch CN Train x422 spark up and head west out of Duff Yard. The cab delivering the crew was still on the roadway as the train got underway. It was pretty slow-moving, so I dashed ahead twice - for pics at Pettit Road, and further west at Ridgemount Road. Gloomy, overcast. But a fine catch and chase all in all!

Description:  Off we go! The whole situation is somewhat unusual, this being an 'extra' Train 422. So a lucky catch. I was only there for a minute or two before the train departed Duff Yard. I wasn't even expecting a train to be here, and would normally have just driven by to see if anything was happening before heading home on a gloomy day like this one. Lucky me!

(former Trenergy). They’re brand new Coil cars from National Steel Car in Hamilton headed for Steelcon to get the hoods fitted onto them"..

Description:  In my quietest January ever, with just six outings in only remotely decent weather, I at least get to wind up the month with a lucky catch of the CP freight transfer at Brookfield. I ventured over to this crossing to check out the new CN signal shack and signal stand, and see if the bush had been cut back making for a better photo angle. When I got there, the new signal stand was showing flashing orange, and shortly after came the 11-car CP train in glorious morning sunshine. A short chase later and I caught the train back on CP rails at Miller Road overpass.
