Title:  GTW 2-8-2 #4070 - Grand Trunk Western
Description:  Alco-Schenectady, 1918, nee-GTW 474, renumbered 3734 and then in June of 1958 renumbered to 4070. The loco was retired from active duty in 1960 and sold to a private owner but bought back by the GTW in 1971. It was later donated to the Midwest Railway Preservation Society for use on its Cuyahoga Valley Line in the 1970's. In 1984 the tender was re-lettered to 'Burlington Route,' (aka CB&Q) for a cameo in the move "The Natural" with Robert Redford. Out of service since 1990, she is undergoing a long-term restoration to operable status in Cleveland. Specs - S-3-a class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wieght of 306,500 lb, and tractive effort of 54,724 lb. No photographer, location or exact date was given for this photo so approximates were used.
